Promotional vs Transactional SMS
Promotional SMS (from KES 0.45/SMS) is used for marketing messages, offers, and announcements. These messages include an automatic opt-out suffix (e.g., "STOP*456#") as required by the Communications Authority of Kenya.
Transactional SMS (from KES 0.80/SMS) is used for OTPs, order confirmations, appointment reminders, and system alerts. No opt-out suffix is required.
